Seán’s Video Goes Viral

After getting over 120k views on our Facebook page, Seán’s bodhrán solo video was picked up by Independent.ie and was No. 1 in the Top Videos on its home page for 3 days (see screenshot below).  Not only that, but the Belfast Telegraph and The Irish Post in the UK also ran with it, among others.  We have no idea how many views the video has had across all the various platforms and sites, but it has generated huge activity on both our Facebook page and our website.  (click here to view the video on Independent.ie)

The solo was recorded when we recently played a support slot for Sharon Shannon in Birr Theatre & Arts Centre in Co. Offaly.  Seán always starts off the last set of our gigs with a bodhrán solo and it never fails to wow our audience, but with a full house in Birr that night, the crowd reaction was particularly raucous.

Arising out of all of the activity generated by the video, we have some huge news coming shortly about a major TV appearance.  We’re sworn to secrecy for the moment, but we’ll be announcing it in the coming days.  So so hard to sit on big news!
